Most die not bringing any change to the world or not fighting for what is right, this is not him. Remus John Lupin, a smart, talented, loyal, tame werewolf, he was greatly loved by us writing these tributes. He was the last Marauder to survive, the last of his closest friends during his Hogwarts years to die. I have always loved the series, I grew up with the series as most of us have. I loved Lupin and felt sometimes how he must feel, being misunderstood and what not. I think he was an extremely wonderful teacher at Hogwarts and probably one of the most unique, using an obstacle course for his end of the year exam. I would have loved to meet him and befriend him. I cried when he died, but I knew his words were true, he died making a better world for his only son, and the other people to come."

Professor R.J. Lupin we owe at least this much to you. You are a very different person. Whether it be the way you handled Harry in POA and never mentioned about the trio (James, Sirius and you) or the anti-dementor lessons you taught, you are really different. You are one Professor who was liked by all students after Prof. Dumbledore and there is no doubt about that. Remus you will remain in our hearts for sure... not only you, but Tonks and Ted will occupy our minds too. You are the one who is patient enough to handle Peeves too. I also like you for the concern that you have for Harry and although you are dangerous, people will never leave you, they will be with you forever. Remus we miss you for sure... there is no one specific reason to say... but all that we know about you makes you likable.

Professor Remus J. Lupin is a teacher I would've loved to have. He seems like a wonderful teacher, for most of his students seem to enjoy having him. He was my favorite character while reading the books. The relationships he had with the other Marauders was fasinating. For the longest time it seemed as though Lupin had never had any friends until his time at Hogwarts. It was a shame that he died at the end of the war. He will definitely be missed.

Remus, you remind me of people past that were soothing and friendly, strong yet timid, like someone protecting something dear to them. To die for your students is so amazing I can't put words into it. You will live in all of our hearts, and you are still alive in so many places. When you get the chance to meet someone like Remus, no matter what their name, you know that there is good in the world.

Remus, we miss you a lot. Harry was really lucky to have you as his professor. I feel you were the best professor Harry ever had. You are so kind and gentle even though the world discriminates against you for what you are. We will really miss you and you will always be in our hearts.

Remus Lupin has been a hero of mine ever since I read The Prisoner of Azkaban as a child. I connected with him, adored him; he influenced the kind of person I'd grow up to be, and I'm glad for it. I wish I'd had him as a teacher growing up. He's not a perfect man - he wouldn't be nearly so effective if he was - but he's a strong one. For all his regrets, all his mistakes, he keeps struggling to make his place in the world, to make things better, to keep his friends safe. His persecution made me so furious, and that helped me as well, to shape what I fight for. He's an amazing man, a wonderful character, and my life is better for having known him.

Remus Lupin was the reason why I loved the "Prisoner of Azkaban" so much when I read it first. He became my favourite character from the moment on he defended the Dementor in the Hogwarts' Express and I loved the scenes when he gave Harry lessons. Ever since, every times Remus appeared in one of the books, my mood was improved. I still can't quite figure out why I like him so much, but I had a few thoughts about it. I think the main reason is the way he always sympathised with people and took care of them. He always retreated and thought he wasn't good for them - even for his friends and even for Tonks. I was so contented when he finally came back to her as it was the only time we could see Remus really, really happy. Why did the two of them have to die?? Even though their death was only described in one ore two sentences, for me it was one of the teariest scenes in the seven books. I also feel much sympathy for Remus. It must have been so hard for him to find out he was a werewolf and to make all these experiences: being excluded, insulted and dicriminated against. He must have been very lonely before he found the other marauders. Why did he have to die just when he finally opened up??

I don't like the last book because of the fact that Remus dies. I am a big fan of Lupin and I think David Thewlis is so sexy (especially when he's lupin) :D I think I will cry when the part of the last movie he dies, and if you've ever seen the movie The Omen 2006 version, you know why I don't like it. I will tell you now I AM IN LOVE WITH REMUS LUPIN.

Remus Lupins death was surprising and devastating. When I was speculating who would die in the seventh I never suspected that it would be him. He was just too good; he had just been through too much. He did not use to be my favorite character. I used to think he was pretty uninteresting, but as the books went on I started liking him better, and I started seeing how great he was. But what really clinched it was the seventh, when you see his struggles come out into the book, and you realize how real he is, how human. That was when I saw that he wasn’t perfect but I liked him better for it. So when he died I cried harder than I have for any other character, and after the shock and after it sunk in I am still sad, I still cry, because he is the best character in those books, he is still my favorite.

Remus Lupin is absolutely the best character anyone could create. It is just unexplainable, what an amazing man he IS. I said 'is' instead of 'was' because he is still alive in the hearts of every reader. The part when Tonks is saying that Fleur still loves Bill even though he was bitten, and Remus is saying she deserves someone young and whole, but she doesn't want someone young and whole, she wants him, brings tears to my eyes, there love for one another is just amazing. When Tonks' Patronus changes due to an "emotional upheaval", as Remus says it is the sweetest thing I have ever read, knowing how much she loves him. Remus Lupin died a wonderful, amazing man. Thank you J.K. Rowling for such an amazing man. About the actor: I saw an interview, where he said he originally auditioned for the role of Quirrel, and was turned down. I can't imagine anyone else as Remus, I'm glad he was never Quirrel. You are forever in our hearts Remus Lupin.

Remus Lupin is the best HP character there ever was. Not only is he extremely cute (not counting the badly casted Remus from the HP movies), but he's also sweet and kind and the last person he thinks of is himself. He values friendship and loyalty and there's absolutely no one that hates him. He is an amazing person, friendly and absolutely kind-hearted, and doesn't say 'boo' to the people that bring predjudice on him everyday. It's sad how much he hates himself for what he is, and I love him. :P

*Sigh* Oh Remus.. where to begin? Remus was a great and facinating chracter. Once you thought you had figured him out, a little surprise will pop up (ike him and Tonks for example) Not only was he very complex, but he had amazing characteristics. Remus Lupin was a kind person. He showed kindness to even those who hated him. He was smart and loyal as well. He was very insecure, which made him a great character (Not all characters can be confident can they?) Lupin wasn't bitter when Severus got him fired, he accepted it, with no grudge, or no want for revenge. All in all, Remus John Lupin was a terrific man, friend, father, and husband, and may he, and his wonderful wife rest in peace.

Remus was and is my favourite character in the HP books. He'll never die in my heart and I'm really sorry that he dies in Deathly Hallows along with his lucky wife Tonks. I cried all over the book when I read the part where they're 'lying peacefully' under the Great Halls' enchanted roof. I know Teddy would have been proud of his parents if they were alive and I'm sure that he is proud of them too now they're dead!

I really thought that Lupin was totally awesome. I would have loved to be his student. It seemed wrong to me that he had to die but it's comforting to know other people appreciate Remus like me.

Remus John Lupin. That name has put me to sleep every night ever since I read "The Prisinor of Azkaban". I've only started reading J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series last year December. It has never been the same since I knew Lupin. When I knew I LOVED Lupin, I dug deeper into his secrets. The quiet, smart, hardworking man that he is contributes a lot to the storyline. I'm awed by his courageousness; he never lets what he is get to him. It was very sad when I found out Lupin died in the 7th book. When I think about it, I can't help but cry. He suffered a lot because of the way people treated him, but he kept looking at the positive side of life. He has his own sense of humor, a silent, inner mind type of joke. He shares the joke aloud if he feels it's neccessary. He's so thoughtful about others. He trys to help Harry. He's reluctant to marry Nymphadora Tonks for he knows what it might do to her reputation. He fights for his family. I admire all these characteristics. It is very rare for someone to have these traits. Every Harry Potter reader is very lucky to have read about him. I'm sure there isn't another like him.

Remus was like a father to me. I never expected him to die. The only reason I see for his death is so that Teddy was orphaned and harry would have a shadow. But his death seemed so surreal. I was in denial. Remus' funny wit and amazing wisdom of understanding reminds me of Brian. It is impossible for me to ever imagine Remus dead. His was the most unpredictable and depressing death (Dumbledore's was obvious). I thought, surely, Jo will take some pity on this man who has suffered all his life, outcast, and spare him, but her pen is merciless. Remus, you're my werewolf of London!

The loss of my favorite charactor Remus Lupin was devistating! He was the most likeable charactor in the whole series. If It wasn't bad enought for all of us Lupin fans, we also lost his wife Nymphadora Tonks. He will always be remembered in our hearts!!

I like Remus Lupin because he is a true friend and an honorable wizard. He helps the Order even though he is in a rough situation. He tries to help Harry in whatever way he can, and is never discouraging or hurtful. His werewolf curse is his downfall but he always tries to keep others safe. He is true to the end.

I have been in love with Remus Lupin since I read PoA around age ten, and eight years later I'm still infatuated. There's something about Lupin that sets him apart from every other character. He's so incredibly humane, the most well-meaning and genuine character in the books. His quiet politeness and sly smiles endeared him to all who could appreciate his subtleties. His calm kindness is soothing and his intelligence bounding. I think the reason that Lupin filled the role of my ideal partner even at an age before I thought about love of that kind is that he contrasted with me so well. I've always been rather opinionated and cheerful, and when I read of Lupin, I yearn to nurture him and encourage him.... (Actually, I identified with Tonks right off the bat, so imagine my glee when they got together....) In a cold world where there is far too much malice and hate, Lupin represented everything good: Someone so incredibly downtrodden and disliked (most of the time) for something outside of his control...and yet he manages to find the good in everyone, is humble, knowledgeable, skillful, kind, and is willing to forgive. There was never a more pointless and ignored death in the books. But Lupin, because of who he is, would be fine with this. He died among friends and "fighting for a better world" for his son and wife. He is a true Gryffindor; he doesn't need glory to justify his sacrifices. Rest in peace, Remus Lupin...and stay away from your fanfiction. You and Sirius both.

I am a fan of Remus Lupin because he is different. He has to fight bad characters - like Voldemort - and he has to fight to himself also. I think this fighting is harder than the other. Living with an illness is really difficult...

I would like to say that Remus Lupin has made reading the Harry Potter series a bit more fun. I thought that looking at Remus as a representative of different magical species and how they are important to the series too. His relationship with Harry is very important too. Harry thought of Lupin as someone he could trust. Although they had some quarrels, Lupin kept reassuring Harry. All in all, Remus is a seriously awesome character and it has been a pleasure to read about him.

Ever since we heard from Professor R.J. Lupin in the train carriage in PoA, it was a truly fantastic experience for me to finally have my first crush on a book character. This is no girlish squeeing, I promise; I just felt an extreme connection to the poor, fatigued werewolf sleeping on the train. I believe we all can feel some connection, later on: first, a refusal to Tonks; "Too poor, too old, too sick." For her safety, as was the second time, a wish to leave home, Tonks and Teddy, just so they could be safe. An obligation every spouse and father feels to every child. I cried when he left Hogwarts, while reading the book and watching the movie. I cried when he left us, along with Tonks- they were my favorite characters, as well as members of my favorite Rowling ship. It's sad to see a favorite character go; but it's sadder when you know that they couldn't help it. Yours in tribute, Ellen

I have to admit; when I first read the Prisoner of Azkaban, I suspected Remus as the traitor inside Hogwarts. Snape's little hints, Remus' connection to James and Sirius, and the fact that he was a new character we had never met before got my suspicions up. I liked him as a character, but it wasn't until a few months after PoA came out that I fell in love with him. Remus has integrity. He's the sort of man who isn't afraid to stand up for himself and for others at his own expense. He's also got an enormous amount of empathy and tact, besides being a highly talented wizard. He's a loyal friend, a wonderful teacher, and a gentleman no matter what the situation. He's got a bit of a martyr/guilt complex, but it only makes him more lovable in the fact that we know he isn't perfect. It makes him more alive, more real, and it doesn't matter to me so much anymore that JKR killed him; I'm not in denial, but I choose to set aside the fact that he died and remember him for the man he was...and still is, if you go back and read PoA, OoTP, HBP, and most of DH. The ones we love never truly leave us.

Remus Lupin and Tonks were my favourite characters. I was very happy when they got married. I was devastated when they both died. Professor Lupin was a great teacher and wonderful friend. He had a hard life but he never give up to help others. I'll never forget them.

Remus Lupin is my beloved HP character. He was always so kind and brave. He was the kind of friend which cannot be easily found. Always would help and would jump into a fire to save his family and friends. I appreciate him a lot. I don't care that he was werewolf. As we all know it wasn't his fault. I bet that he wouldn't hurt family, friends, other teachers or Hogwarts students on purpose. He had his place to stay while being werewolf and surely wouldn't go out to kill others. I recognize the huge, caring and brave heart in his chest and I hope other people will as well. Really I'd love to hug him.
