Choosing Between Oral Vs Injectable Steroids

Anabolic steroids 3-for-2-priceare usually marketed in two formulations. The biggest decision for most beginners and even non beginners is to choose between oral vs injectable steroids. To make this decision of course, one has to consider a few factors, the feasibility of the mode for them, the benefits and side effects associated with each formulation, the dosing interval and the type of steroid.

Oral anabolic steroids are usually either in the form of pills, tablets and liquid suspensions or emulsions. They include steroids such as Dianabol and Anadrol. The benefit of taking them orally is that swallowing is generally more pleasant than injections. They require less effort and are usually swallowed daily in one dose or divided doses depending on preference of the user. Since this formulation passes through the gastrointestinal system, they undergo fast pass metabolism in the liver. For this reason, oral steroids are the most hepatotoxic.  Their route through the intestinal system is also responsible for the side effects of bloating, nausea and sometimes vomiting. Despite these, some people prefer oral steroids due to their easy administration and potency.

On the other hand, injectable steroids are usually administered either intramuscularly or subcutaneously. Because the formulations come in depot preparation, there is slow release from the injection sites. This allows for a longer frequency of administration. Some of the popular brands include Winstrol, Trenbolone and Deca Durabolin. They have the added benefit of surpassing fast pass metabolism in the liver and for this reason are less hepatotoxic than their oral counterparts. They are generally preferred by experts because of the steady levels in the blood stream and the more sustained muscle bulking effects.

Because they each have their own specific advantages, oral and injectable steroids are used together in a cycle. To get rapid gains and offer a jumpstart, oral steroids are used first as they offer faster results in muscle gain. Then injectable steroids take over as they offer more sustained growth.

While popular opinions offer injectable formulations as the most used steroids, both oral and injectable steroids have their time and use. The choice then depends on personal preference and the side effects.
